Custom Lego Hulkbuster War Machine

When Tony gets into trouble, it's up to James "Rhodey" Rhodes to gets his ass out of the proverbial frying pan.  Sometimes, that trouble gets a bit too BIG and GREEN.  Enter the Hulkbuster War Machine Armor!

In my previous post, I featured the Custom Lego version of Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor, this time I'm featuring it's War Machine counterpart.

James "Rhodey" Rhodes is Tony Stark's personal pilot, chief aviation engineer and best friend.  Rhodes was a former lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.  He served tours of duty in Southeast Asia.  He was a combat pilot when he first encountered Tony Stark.

"James (Rhodey) Rupert Rhodes, from the South Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps who served tours of duty in Southeast Asia. A combat pilot, he was stranded in the jungle behind enemy lines after his helicopter was shot down by Viet Cong rocket fire. He encounters Iron Man, who escaped from Wong-Chu's prison camp in his prototype suit of powered armor, for the first time. Defeating the Viet Cong soldiers that ambushed them, Rhodes and Iron Man discovered an enemy rocket base that was the origin of the rocket fire that grounded Rhodes in the first place. Destroying the base with a stolen Viet Cong helicopter, Rhodes and Iron Man flew the helicopter back to the American defense perimeter.^[8] At the base hospital in Saigon, Stark arrives in person to thank Rhodes for helping Iron Man and to offer Rhodes a job as his personal pilot. There is no mention of a Hulkbuster version of the War Machine armor.  However, I thought it would be cool if Rhodey had his own version of the most kick-ass of all Iron Man armors.

Presenting, the Hulkbuster War Machine Armor!

The Hulkbuster War Machine Armor like its Iron Man Hulkbuster counterpart, features fully articulated joints and individually movable fingers.  The main defining feature of the War Machine Hulkbuster armor is its massive amounts of weaponry, true to his comic book roots.

This version of War Machine is equipped with a enormous version of his signature shoulder mounted gatling gun, wrist-mounted fire and forget rockets, wrist vulcan cannons and a shoulder mounted multi-ordnance weapons pod which can dispense missiles, smart bombs and mines.

This version of the War Machine armor, like its Iron Man counterpart, is a modular armor which merges with the regular War Machine armor increasing its combat strength tenfold.
